To honor Lisa's wishes of having some of her ashes
spread in the Sierra Nevada Range, her friends gathered
at my house on the 2nd week in July. We shuffled gear,
packed 3 cars, then headed up to the Cottonwood Pass
trailhead. Most of the background of this hike has been
posted over at
www.LisaStarrett.com - so please click over

Since that hike, I've thought about Lisa and miss her
phone calls asking to "come up to Sacramento".
Besides her jubilant personality - and flair for
the dramatic - she was the matriarch of a group of
friends that had grown tight during our effort to keep
her comfortable. Our circle had a mission and we
worked diligently to give Lisa everything she needed.
Life goes on, and so do the lives of our little group.
I hope they are all doing well, and hope Lisa is too.
